The Line 6 ToneCore Liqua-Flange may be the most comprehensive flanger yet.
Flanging dates back from the era of open reel tape recorders. The same signal was recorded on two open reel recorders, then played back summed together and recorded onto a third machine. The tape operator would touch one of the reel flanges, the flange being the rim of the reel, briefly slowing down one of the playing machines. The short timing differences resulted in a sweeping comb filter effect that came to be known as flanging.
The Line 6 ToneCore Liqua-Flange features selectable Digital, Liquid, and Analog models--all with pass through zero flanging--that give you more flanging options than you though possible. Add to that selectable negative/positive polarity; 11 selectable waveforms; Time, Speed, Feedback, and Depth controls; and tap tempo capability and you've got a flanger like no other. Liqua-Flange has stereo ins/outs, and can be powered by a 9V battery.
